Michael

Michael began his study of Thai Massage at the Foundation of Shivago Komarpaj, at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang-Mai, where he became certified in Traditional Thai Massage in 1989. He returned to the Foundation for further study the following year, where he also had the honor of assisting with the instruction of new students.

On his next trip Michael brought a group of massage therapists from the US to study at the Institute of Thai Massage with Master Chongkol Settakorn.. He continued his advanced studies and recieved teacher training with Master Settakorn and as well as studying with Mrs. Nit ("Mama"as she is affectionately known to her students.)

Michael has returned to Thailand each year since 1993 with a group of Massage Therapists on a study tour he has organized. While there he has done some advanced studies and teacher training at The Institute of Thai Massage. He has studied with four private teachers on his various trips to Thailand and has lived with two of his teachers while studying with them. In 1995 he studied and was certified in the southern style of massage at the Wat Pho in Bangkok.

The Thai Massage Center was founded by Michael Eisenberg after his third trip to Thailand to continue his studies of Thai Massage. Michael is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Hawaii and a Licensed Massage Practioner in Washington State.Michael teaches at Massage Schools and Spa's through out the country and teaches private classes at the Thai Massage Center in Washington State.

Michael is recovering from Multiple Sclerosis through natural methods. He was diagnosed with MS 1998. Michael is still very flexible for someone in his condition, and he attributes this to the years of practicing Thai Massage. Michael is in the process of a career change and in addition to continuing to teach Thai Massage and organize trips to Thailand he has been studying Multimedia Interactive Technology.
